"I am writing in response to your recent e-mail correspondence regarding the potential for a pedestrian tunnel under Georgia Avenue at the Forest Glen Metro Station.

Let there not be any confusion about this-I unequivocally support the pedestrian tunnel. In my earlier correspondence I merely noted what is fact: that any prioritization of State-funded projects such as this will have to be done by the full Council after it is installed this winter. The construction priority list already includes fourteen projects, all of which have been in the planning or design stages for many years and have merit-and their own constituencies. Nevertheless, I will do what I can to advance the prospects for the tunnel.
