"My wife, our son, and I live on Hale Place, a quarter-mile west of the Forest Glen Metro. During her pregnancy, my wife's obstetrician was in the medical building on the east side of Georgia, just above Forest Glen Rd., a ten-minute walk from our house, were Georgia safe to cross. We only had one car at the time, and would arrange our work days to make sure she had it for driving this short, dangerous distance.

As a Delegate, I will make securing funding for a pedestrian tunnel a top priority. One reason funds have gone to more roads and construction (and therefore more traffic) as opposed to making existing roads safer is all of the campaign contributions made by pro-road developers. As Executive Director of Common Cause Maryland from 2001-05, I exposed illegal campaign contributions by developers, inspired the State Prosecutor to investigate and fine them, and worked to limit their influence over elections and public policy.
