"Thank you for your email concerning the proposed pedestrian tunnel.  I live about a mile from the intersection; and I know it is congested and difficult for pedestrians to cross Georgia Avenue.  Could I receive a copy of the feasibility study?  What is the estimated cost for the tunnel?  Has there been a study of an elevated crosswalk?  I agree that a safety improvement for pedestrians is needed at that intersection.  Before committing to a specific solution, I need to review cost data.  In the meantime, I would be happy to meet with you (and members of FECA and other Associartions) to further discuss this safety project."
