PG Hospital closing to impact Holy Cross? PDF Print E-mail

Due to a combination of financial problems and lack of compromise between the state and Prince George's County governments, it looks as if the Prince George's Hospital Center in Cheverly may close.  The Post reports that "health officials have warned [this] would be a catastrophe to health care across the region as patients flood crowded emergency rooms at other facilities." 

Holy Cross Hospital is a very large facility that is known for treating lots of uninsured patients.  In addition to the obvious terrible impact on the area's over-stressed health care system, Georgia-FG and Holy Cross will be overflowing with new arrivals.
