WMATA restates position on parking at Forest Glen Metro PDF Print E-mail

WMATA public meeting a positive step PDF Print E-mail
Last night, we showed WMATA, the State Highway Administration, and our elected officials that we are serious about improving the quality on the Forest Glen Rd/Georgia Avenue intersection - and that we will not take no for an answer!

Over 225 people packed that auditorium so that it was standing-room only. WMATA was clearly not ready for the passionate, well-thought out questions and comments that the residents around the Forest Glen Metro station had prepared.

Several candidates for public office attended the meeting - keep a look out on our politicians page as we highlight the candidates who cared enough to show up and hear our concerns. Unfortunately, not a single incumbent county council member bothered to attend. We must not forget when we go to the polls to vote in the primaries.

In the coming days and weeks, we will post video, audio, and text excerpts from this meeting, and you will get to hear some choice quotes from the presenters. Stay tuned!
